Day 16: The Last Day

Usually Oktoberfest lasts 16 days.  However, since 1990, when the first Sunday of October falls on the 1st or 2nd of October, the celebration extends to the 3rd of October.  October 3rd is a national holiday and marks the 1990 day when East and West Germany reunited.    That means that Oktoberfest could last as many as 18 days.  In 2022 the first Sunday of October is the second day of the month, so Oktoberfest will last an additional day.  In 2023 Oktoberfest will go 18 days.  So mark your calendars and make the trip for this "Bucket List" experience.
