Dinner For One

The English short film, Dinner for One, is Germany's most popular television show . . . and its most unexpected. Beginning in 1963, this English language comedy skit has been broadcast every year on multiple channels around the New Years Holiday.
The comedy is akin to a Tim Conway skit. James is butler to Miss Sophie and he serves a four course dinner for Miss Sophie and her four guests who are there to celebrate her 90th birthday. Unfortunately, she has outlived all her friends. So James has to toast Miss Sophie for each one of them. His four times four courses, each with wine, add up to some serious alcohol consumption and hilarity ensues.
We will be airing Dinner for One on New Years Day at 6 pm and following that with authentic German music. Come join the fun.
